Looking to combine safety, aesthetics and cost savings?

Wet pour rubber is also an ideal solution for footpaths and wet areas (such as pool surrounds) as it is non-slip and hard wearing. At Surface Pro Group, the most common types of rubber we use are CSBR and EPDM.

  • CSBR (Coloured Styrene Butadiene Rubber): Used primarily in playgrounds as rubber surfacing or in areas of high foot traffic or as part of a compliant soft fall system.
  • EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer): Used in wet areas such as around pools or in water parks as a non-slip surface.

With a commitment to meeting and exceeding our client’s safety expectations, our wet pour rubber surfaces are AS4422 Compliant to minimise the severity of head injury resulting from a fall from the play equipment to the surface below.

Our experts are ready to help you install the wet pour rubber surface that meets your exact needs. You can call us today for a fast and free quote on using 1300 521 612 today!

What is wet pour rubber?

Wet pour rubber (sometimes called soft fall rubber) is a safe solution to use in playgrounds to minimise injury when children fall over. Poured in place, the resulting rubber surface can be moulded, contoured, shaped and manipulated to create the ideal surface whether you’re dealing with an even playground, sloped ground or existing playground equipment.

Outside of optimal safety, wet pour rubber has the added benefit of being much harder wearing than natural wood (and doesn’t decompose at the same rate) which leads to a more environmentally friendly product designed to handle everyday wear and tear.

How is wet pour rubber made?

This depends on the type of rubber. The two primary types include CSBR and EPDM.

CSBR (Coloured Styrene Butadiene Rubber) is made using recycled tyre rubber which is coated in colour pigments in a trammel mixer to ensure high colour consistency. The end result is a durable rubber that mixes value and aesthetics.

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a synthetic rubber made from the chemicals that make up its name. The diene monomers – though only forming a small part of the composition – provide resilience, flexibility and durability.

How much does wet pour rubber cost?

At Surface Pro Group, we offer high quality synthetic and rubber services at affordable prices through Northern NSW and SE Queensland.

You’ll also need to factor in the price of any aggregate as rubber is typically poured over certified soft fall mats. The size of your project, amount of surface preparation, ease of access to the site and choice in rubber will all impact your final price, so reach out for a custom (and 100% obligation-free quote) on 1300 521 612 today!

Why install wet pour rubber?

No matter how careful you are at home, outside or in child care settings, accidents can happen. Wet pour rubber is engineered for play surfaces and provides an absorbent surface to help reduce injuries from slips and falls. Outside of the proven safety advantages, these rubber products tend not to absorb grime and washes clean easily with rain. Unlike bark chips under a playground, this product will not create mess or wash away and creates a long lasting investment that won’t crack, disintegrate or break down easily.

The amazing array of soft fall rubber colour choices available is eye-catching for children and can be customised to meet your needs. Looking to install rubber floors displaying numbers? Footprints? Educational designs? Games? Chat to our experienced team to find out how to customise your surfaces.
