It’s a common misconception that artificial grass must replace existing natural turf. Synthetic turf can be installed practically anywhere, it is able to be glued to concrete, pavers and tiles you can transform anything from your poolside area to unused space outside your Gold Coast or Brisbane business.
How long does it take to install artificial grass?
This depends on a few factors including the size of your space, the amount of preparation required and any design choices (e.g. are you using composite plastic, bender boards and ease of access for equipment and supplies, aluminium or another edging option?).

No. Any existing grass will need to be removed prior to turf installation. How is artificial grass attached to my existing surface?
At Surface Pro Group, we use a variety of installation methods depending on your area and its intended use, we also take into account your budget requirements. We may use a concrete haunching around the perimeter of your yard or area and glue the turf to this. We can also use synthetic turf pins which are made from galvanised metal to hold the turf in place, synthetic turf can also be laid directly onto a concrete slab.
How much sand is required to install new artificial grass?
Specialised Artificial Turf sand is used to weigh your new turf down and to hold up the pile of the product. The amount of sand can vary depending on the product but is anywhere from 10kg/m2 to 24kg/m2. Speak to a member of our team for accurate figures based on your unique space.
